High Level Roles & Responsibilities:

Has the authority, responsibility and accountability to:

 

  • Operate machines and power equipment according to specific instructions for those machines power equipment.
  • Manually set up each machine or pull up the computer program in the case of equipment for parts production.
  • Run material through the machines checking for accuracy and quality.
  • Perform timely and regular calibrations and perform preventive maintenance on machines you are responsible for.
  • Ensure that the correct materials are being used for each product component.
  • Identify and use correct tooling to perform each operation.
  • Help ensure that 5S for the area are met.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Support the Quality Policy and Safety Policy.
  • Support the Vision and Guiding Principles of Kimball International and the facility Priorities of Focus and management policies.

    • Able to transport and prepare a wide variety of parts for other operations.
    • Ability to learn and adapt to new parts and products.
    Must be detail oriented
Qualifications

  • High School Degree or GED
  • Related manufacturing experience
