The Accounting Advisory Services (AAS) team helps organizations strengthen their finance and accounting functions through innovative, technology-enabled solutions and hands-on execution support. In this role, you will play a key part in the growth and success of our national practice by leading client engagements, managing project teams, and delivering high-quality solutions across complex accounting initiatives.This role combines technical accounting expertise with client and team leadership. Success requires a passion for exceptional client service, a commitment to developing and mentoring team members, and the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams, both internally and with clients.
What You Will Do:
- Serve as a primary point of contact for C-suite and senior client executives, providing strategic guidance, regular project updates, and executive-level presentations.
- Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor and identifying opportunities to expand service offerings.
- Develop engagement strategies and lead the execution of complex accounting and finance advisory engagements in collaboration with AAS leadership.
- Perform and review technical accounting research and advise clients on complex GAAP, SEC, and other regulatory requirements.
- Lead and support client engagements involving complex transactions, including IPOs, SPACs, mergers and acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives.
- Oversee engagement quality and ensure deliverables meet technical, regulatory, and client expectations.
- Identify and proactively resolve engagement challenges and risks, collaborating with leadership as needed to drive successful outcomes.
- Lead, mentor, and develop project teams by providing coaching, technical guidance, and performance feedback.
- Support business development efforts through proposal development, engagement scoping, pricing, client relationship management, and identifying opportunities for expanded services.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years or more of relevant experience
- Strong proven technical expertise in the areas of financial accounting, technical accounting, financial reporting, SEC reporting, M&A, or financial operations
- CPA License
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
