We are looking for a technically strong Data Analyst to join our Compliance team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex business problems through data analysis rather than simply creating reports. You will work with raw and complex datasets, investigate data quality issues, apply statistical reasoning, and deliver reliable, actionable insights that support business decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Investigate complex and ambiguous business problems from definition through solution, providing data-driven recommendations.
  • Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to uncover trends, patterns, and anomalies.
  • Assess data quality, identify inconsistencies at the source, determine root causes, and document transformation decisions.
  • Apply statistical methods to validate hypotheses and ensure conclusions are supported by data.
  • Develop and maintain repeatable, reliable data workflows and analysis processes.
  • Present technical findings in a clear and concise manner for business stakeholders.
  • Use SQL and Python (or R) to query, transform, automate, and analyze data.
  • Partner with business and engineering teams to improve data quality and data collection processes.

Requisitos

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Data Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
  • 2+ years of experience in a data analysis role with hands-on analytical work beyond reporting.
  • 2+ years of experience writing SQL queries against relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server.
  • 1+ year of experience using Python (preferred) or R for data manipulation, transformation, and analysis.
  • Experience working with raw or unstructured datasets, including documenting transformation logic and analytical assumptions.
  • Experience using Git for version control.
  • Familiarity with statistical concepts, including hypothesis testing, distributions, and correlation vs. causation.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Professional English communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Power BI or Tableau for data visualization.
  • Experience building repeatable analytical workflows and automating data processes.
  • Background working with compliance, risk, audit, or regulated business environments.
