About the role
Join our Trade Planning team and play a key role in delivering exciting, market-leading promotions and events that showcase outstanding products and great value for our customers. As an Assistant Trade Planner, you will work closely with the Trade Planning Manager to shape and deliver the promotional plan across Home, General Merchandise and Clothing categories.
You'll be responsible for planning and executing promotions, ensuring timely delivery, and providing accurate performance reporting. - Annual bonus scheme of up to 10% of base salary.

- Manage and deliver the promotional calendar, ensuring all activity launches on time and follows the critical path.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to drive successful promotional execution and excellent product availability.
- Analyse promotional performance, reporting key trade insights and recommending improvements to future plans.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and commercial performance to optimise promotions and customer value.
- Build strong relationships with Buying, Merchandising, Marketing, Retail, Supply Chain, and Events teams to deliver seamless campaigns.
- Own promotional activity for designated product areas, acting as the key contact for stakeholders.
- Ensure accurate communication, documentation, POS sign-off, and store engagement across all promotional activity.
- Support the delivery of coupons, new initiatives, and continuous improvement projects.
- Uphold the highest standards of integrity, compliance, and business conduct.
- Demonstrated experience in data analysis and numeracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills.
- Ability to plan and organise effectively.
- Flexibility, responsiveness, creativity, and self-starter attitude.
- Ability to build solid working relationships with peers and senior leadership.
- Strong communication and presentation skills to all levels of seniority and disciplines within the organisation.
Desirable:
- Experience using SQL and Tableau.
