Job Summary:
The Department of Psychiatry is hiring a 0.5 FTE (benefits eligible) Professional Research Assistant to contribute to two projects. The first is an innovative, grant-funded implementation study focused on improving perinatal mental health and perioperative experiences for patients and families. The second is a diagnostic device study which uses eye metrics to diagnose Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). The PRA will be embedded in Psychiatry Research Innovations (PRI), a research support center within the Department of Psychiatry that assists faculty members affiliated with five Divisions in the Department in areas related to research administration, operations, and education. This position supports research that advances patient-centered care and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
Obtain study subject’s medical history and current medication information, reviews research protocol inclusion/exclusion criteria, and confirms eligibility of subject to participate in clinical trial.
Perform informed consent process or ensures that the informed consent process has occurred, is properly documented, and that informed consent form documents are filed as required.
Schedule subject participation in research clinical trial, coordinating availability of necessary space, and clinical research support (e.g., physician, nurse practitioner, laboratory, radiology, pharmacy).
Guide participants through study activities and visits, including overseeing survey completion, administering various research scales and assessments, and providing instructions and basic troubleshooting.
Collect, code, and analyze data obtained from research in an accurate and timely manner.
Adhere to research regulatory standards.

Onsite – this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora, CO.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in public health, social/behavioral sciences, physical sciences, nursing, healthcare, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.
A combination of education and related technical/military/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree on a year for year basis.
An advanced degree (Masters or Doctorate) may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis if the degree is in a field of study directly related to the work assignment.
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
One (1) year of clinical research or related experience.
Prior experience supporting research or clinical care with perinatal, obstetric, or NICU populations.
Prior experience supporting research or clinical care with psychiatric populations with mood disorders, anxiety disorders, and/or trauma- and stressor-related disorders

Anticipated Pay Range:
The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as: $24,950 - $31,736 for .5 FTE.
The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level.
