You might think you know a lot about Bupa. You probably know we provide health insurance and aged care services across Australia, and you probably also know about our Health Services, including our dental and optical clinics in your local shopping centres. But what you might not know is that we also deliver health assessments on behalf of the Australian Government via Bupa Medical Visa Services (BMVS), for people who are applying for visas to live, work or study in Australia.
The purpose of the job:
Reporting to the Centre Manager, the Health Administration Team Leader in conjunction with the other centre leaders will oversee the day-to-day operations of the centre and will ensure efficient workflow to increase productivity and create a comfortable and a friendly environment for all BMVS customers.
We're currently looking for a Team Leader to lead both the Health Assessor and Reception teams, working full-time 9-5pm with occasional Saturdays during peak seasons.
What you’ll need to make it possible:
Our successful Leaders come from a wide variety of backgrounds and work experiences. To be successful in the role, you’ll need:
- Qualified and experienced phlebotomist (cert 3 or 4) OR 2+ years in a NATA accredited collection centre
- You’ve worked in a fast-paced, high-volume collection environment
- Proven experience successfully supporting a team - you’re passionate about people development and maintaining high-quality clinical outcomes
- An excellent communicator - you’re passionate about providing a warm and inviting culture, whilst delivering a world-class customer experience
- Administration experience - as this role also supports our reception/concierge team, there will be administrative tasks and competing responsibilities
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage and influence a diverse range of conflicting priorities and multiple stakeholders
- Ability to operate autonomously to achieve results
- Good time management skills and ability to work within a structured process
- Exceptional customer service focus, capability and delivering results to meet customer expectations
- Well developed, written, oral and interpersonal skills with an ability to liaise, negotiate and influence stakeholders and team members to achieve outcomes
As a Team Leader your duties will include:
- The leadership and operational oversight of all Receptionist/Concierge and Health Assessor team members, providing direction & support to your team whist providing an exceptional experience for our customers
- Leading a small close-knit team with an existing positive culture; you’ll continue to foster a collaborative, professional and effective environment for the team, outlining expectations and appropriate standards of behaviour
- Effective management of workloads prioritising key responsibilities including: daily, weekly, monthly leadership responsibilities, weekly & monthly reports, holding one on ones and team check-ins
- Maintain high-quality monthly audits, aligned to the Service Level agreements, clinical governance and quality outcomes
- Plan and maintain workforce coverage through timely recruitment, selection, inductions, onboarding and training of employees
- Develop and implement effective rosters for Receptionist/Concierge and Health Assessor team members, stepping in operationally as needed in each role
- Effectively integrate new or changing polices or procedures and maintain the general administration of the centre
