That’s why we are seeking like-minded Caregivers to join our Bupa Sunset Care Home located in Blockhouse Bay, West Auckland. You will help us rise to the challenges of enriching the lives of society’s most vulnerable. 

  

As a Caregiver at Bupa, you will work under the guidance and supervision of qualified nursing staff and management, to make a positive impact on the lives of our residents. You will be encouraged to develop deeper relationships with residents and their families, delivering the highest quality person first care to residents in line with their individual care plan. 

 

We have two Fixed Term Contracts available, working on a 4-days on, 2-days off 6-weekly rotating roster pattern (Monday - Sunday):

 

1) Fixed Term until February 2027: average of 32 hours per week

  • Night Shift only (11pm - 7am)

 

2) Fixed Term until January 2027: average of 28 hours per week

  • AM & PM shifts (7am - 3pm and 3pm - 8pm)

 

3) Casual role: no guaranteed hours per week, so flexibility is required to pick up shifts as they become available


Where You Will Make an Impact  

  • Provide personal care assistance with daily living, whilst treating our 122 residents across rest home, hospital, and dementia levels of care with respect and dignity.
  • Mobility assistance in accordance with resident care plans.
  • Maintain accurate health care documentation as required.
  • Encourage all residents to participate in scheduled social activities.
  • Contribute to the development of a positive, safe, home environment for residents, visitors, and the wider team.

 

What About You

  • An NZQA Health and Wellbeing Certificate Level 2-4 is preferred.
  • Ideally you will have a minimum of 1 year of experience within aged care.
  • Demonstrate genuine enthusiasm, dedication to care, and passion for enriching the lives of the elderly.
  • Confident communication, interpersonal, and teamwork abilities.
  • Applicants must be legally entitled to work in NZ.
