About the role

Ecclesiastical Insurance Ireland, who are proudly part of Benefact Group, are looking for an Underwriting Assistant to join our Dublin office.

As an Underwriting Assistant you will be ambitious and looking to develop your career in insurance. You will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our brokers and customers to maintain high retention levels in support of our underwriting strategy.

What you'll be doing

  • Underwrite existing business (fast track renewals, debit transactions and mid-term adjustments) within own authority and in line with Underwriting strategy

  • Resolve general customer queries within underwriting authority

  • Schemes administration including reviewing and managing scheme new and existing business quotations, queries and adjustments and processing schemes bordereaux

  • Provision of underwriting administration support including data entry, MTA processing, work allocation

  • Plan, prioritise and manage own work to deliver agreed objectives and meet SLAs

What you'll need to have

  • APA (Commercial General Insurance) minimum preferred or commitment to achieve APA and CIP within agreed timescale

  • Experience of working within insurance sector desirable

  • A proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service

  • Appropriate IT skills including data processing

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
