Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the successful candidate will be primarily responsible for the following duties:
- Prepare various product blends according to established recipes;
- Ensure all raw materials are available before starting production;
- Verify the quality of raw materials by checking expiration dates and conducting visual and odor inspections;
- Gather the raw materials required for the various blends;
- Accurately and carefully weigh the exact quantities of raw materials required;
- Deliver samples to the laboratory for analysis and approval;
- Adjust blends according to laboratory feedback and recommendations;
- Store all products properly after use and clean workstations to prevent any risk of contamination;
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Requirements
- AEC in Chemical Processes or a related educational program; (A combination of education and relevant experience may be considered equivalent.)
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment;
- Forklift operator certification (an asset).
Skills and Competencies
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail;
- Energetic, proactive, and team-oriented;
- High level of accuracy and precision;
- Resourceful and able to work independently;
- Ability to perform physical and manual work, including lifting up to approximately 50 lbs.
Working Conditions
- Permanent full-time position, 40 hours per week;
- Day shift schedule:
- Monday to Thursday: 6:30 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. Friday: 6:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
