The Seasonal Security Officer is responsible for helping protect 1-800-Flowers.com, Inc. employees, visitors, facilities, and company assets by monitoring CCTV, access control, and dispatch systems while maintaining a safe and secure environment throughout the campus.
This position responds to security-related calls, documents incidents involving employees and company assets, monitors pedestrian and vehicle traffic, conducts routine patrols, and assists during emergency situations. The Seasonal Security Officer works closely with Human Resources and Legal to support and enforce company policies and procedures throughout the seasonal assignment.

- Monitor CCTV, access control, and dispatch systems to identify and respond to security concerns.
- Patrol parking lots, building exteriors, and company property to monitor activity and enforce parking and security policies.
- Monitor employee, visitor, and vehicle traffic entering and exiting the facility.
- Prepare accurate incident summaries, reports, and documentation using company computer systems.
- Respond to calls for assistance from departments throughout the company.
- Investigate incidents involving company employees, property, or assets by gathering information from appropriate sources.
- Respond to burglary alarms, fire alarms, and other emergency situations while coordinating with emergency responders.
- Provide First Aid and CPR during medical emergencies when trained and assist paramedics as needed.
- Help protect company property, employees, visitors, and assets through proactive observation and response.
- Work collaboratively with Human Resources and Legal to support and enforce company policies and procedures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- One to two years of recent security, public safety, military, law enforcement, loss prevention, or related experience preferred.
- Demonstrated reading comprehension and report-writing skills.
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Knowledge of public safety and security practices, equipment, policies, and procedures.
- Understanding of CCTV, access control, dispatch systems, and general security operations.
