What we are looking for

  • University degree in Computer Science, Telecommunication Engineering, Information Systems, or comparable qualification. 
  • Fluent in English. 
  • 2+ years proven experience in cloud technologies.
  • Technical skills
  • Basic understanding of Kubernetes security concepts, such as application configuration, RBAC, network policies, and secrets management.
  • Familiarity with Linux-based environments and an interest in scripting and automation for security related tasks. 
  • Initial experience or exposure to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Helm, Ansible, or Terraform. 
  • Basic knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and an interest in integrating security practices such as automated testing and code analysis. 
  • Exposure to monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana) is a plus. 
  • Basic programming or scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash, or similar) and willingness to develop automation skills.
  • Strong communicator and empathetic team player, able to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders while contributing independently.
  • Creative problem solver with a continuous learning mindset, committed to innovation, knowledge sharing, and finding effective solutions to complex challenges.

Nice-to-Have

  • Familiarity with GitOps concepts or tools like Argo CD is a plus. 
  • Awareness of Kubernetes policy enforcement tools (e.g., OPA/Gatekeeper, Kyverno). 
  • Basic understanding of vulnerability management or secure software development practices. 
  • Interest in APIs or cloud-native development concepts (e.g., Kubernetes operators). 
  • Basic awareness of regulatory and compliance topics. 
  • Relevant certifications or willingness to work towards them.

What you'll be doing

  • Support the integration of security best practices into the DevOps lifecycle, helping to improve the protection of cloud-native platforms and services.
  • Contribute to the implementation and continuous improvement of security services, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud infrastructure, with a focus on automation and scalability. 
  • Assist in maintaining secure configuration management, secrets handling, RBAC, and network policies across different environments. 
  • Collaborate with and learn from experienced engineers on topics such as secure coding, DevSecOps principles, and modern security technologies. 
  • Stay informed about current security trends and threats, and support the team in enhancing the overall security posture. 
  • Participate in on-call rotation (for stand-by operations).
 

When and Where?

  • You can join us whenever it suits you — we work in a flexible, hybrid setup with three days from home and two days at the Telekom Campus
