What we are looking for

  • University degree in Computer Science, Telecommunication Engineering, Information Systems, or comparable qualification. 
  • Fluent in English. 
  • 2+ years proven experience in cloud technologies.
  • Technical skills 
  • Proven experience managing Linux-based environments, including proficiency in shell and bash scripting for operational tasks. 
  • Hands-on expertise in building CI/CD pipelines using GitOps workflows to enable consistent, scalable, and secure deployments. 
  • In-depth knowledge of Kubernetes, covering deployment, cluster administration, and day-to-day operations. 
  • Strong programming skills in Go (or similar languages), with practical experience in backend development and scripting to build tools, services, and automation solutions. 
  • Solid understanding of IT operations and hands-on experience with observability tools such as Prometheus and Grafana to support incident response, troubleshooting, and system reliability.
  • Collaborative and empathetic team player with strong communication skills, able to work effectively with diverse stakeholders while contributing independently.
  • Growth-oriented and creative problem solver with a continuous learning mindset, eager to share knowledge and develop innovative solutions to complex challenges.

Nice-to-Have

  • Familiarity with Kubernetes networking (e.g., Calico), cluster lifecycle management via Cluster API, and integration of cloud platforms with storage and load balancing components like Cinder and Octavia. 
  • Understanding of cloud-native security and compliance practices.

What you'll be doing

  • Develop and maintain CaaS and PaaS platforms built on Kubernetes ecosystem and design platform releases integrating new capabilities. 
  • Create and improve CI/CD pipelines using GitLab to automate the processes for faster and more reliable releases. 
  • Implement monitoring solutions like Prometheus or Grafana to track system health, detect anomalies, and optimize performance across services. 
  • Integrate security best practices into the development lifecycle, ensuring compliance with internal and external standards for data protection and system integrity. 
  • Analyze logs and metrics to identify root causes of system issues, resolve bugs, and respond to incidents with timely troubleshooting and preventive measures to minimize downtime and service disruption. 
  • Oversee change management processes and system lifecycle activities, ensuring smooth transitions, version control, and minimal disruption during upgrades or deprecations. 
  • Participate in on-call rotation (for stand-by operations).
 

When and Where?

  • You can join us whenever it suits you — we work in a flexible, hybrid setup with three days from home and two days at the Telekom Campus
