The Lead Medical Assistant (LMA) is a crucial role in the efficient operation of the clinic, serving as a key liaison between the medical assistant team, healthcare providers, and administrative staff. Under limited supervision of the department manager and Office Supervisor, the LMA ensures adherence to established policies, procedures, and professional guidelines while performing all aspects of the Medical Assistant (MA), Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), and Senior Medical Assistant (SMA) roles. The LMA takes proactive initiative and serves as an informal leader, assuming additional responsibilities related to operational needs and providing mentorship and guidance to other medical assistants. This includes demonstrating expertise in clinical support, maintaining awareness of safety protocols, and effectively coordinating workflow to ensure smooth operations and a high-quality healthcare experience for patients
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
Certified or Registered Medical Assistant
BLS Certification
Two (2) years of experience working in a Physician Office or Clinical role in a healthcare setting. Completion of PSS Epic Training.
