Assistant Manager - Design

Short Description for Internal Candidates   Candidate for this position will be responsible for providing end to end design solution for the Brand. Person in charge will have to closely work with the buying team to deliver seasonal design ranges for the Brand Description for Internal Candidates  

 

  POSITION OBJECTIVE

• Leading/ Guiding a team of designers & assistant designers to provide seasonal design range.
• Preparing & presenting Trend Analysis & Seasonal design forecast to Design Manager & Buying team members.
•  Keeping up to date with emerging fashion trends as well as general trends relating to fabrics, colors and shapes.
• Creating a retail centric Seasonal Color/ Fabric Palette
• Maintaining constant retail analysis via retail visits/ sample shopping trips/ Online research.
• Planning Range with buyers & designers (Including Collections/ Category & Basic) 
• Guiding the team of designers & ensuring the deliverables on Time.
• Candidate will be responsible to design one small department (approx 50 styles/ season including colorways if required) on its own. It includes from research to Tech Pack execution
• Candidate should be proficient in CAD (Illustrator & Photoshop)
• Liaising closely with buying and planning teams on an ongoing basis to study the sell through analysis 
• Ensuring the implementation of Design TNA 
• Design Sign Off presentations to higher management.
• Ensuring Timely delivery of designs/ tech packs 
• Lab Dip/ Strike Off’s/ Fit & sample reviews with Merchandizing/ buying team.
• Working with intra department (Marketing & Designers from other department) for creation of Seasonal Campaign Looks.
• Readiness to multitask and should have a proactive approach
