We are looking for a System Manager (Projects) - Railway Infrastructure - ETCS

You’ll make a difference by:

  • Should have predominantly worked on Mainline Project and having experience in ETCS in role having full ownership and accountability for Technical Solution.
  • System and subsystem knowledge (and operation knowledge) of railway systems - Interlocking, ETCS, ATS/TMS, Fixed Network, Wireless Networks GSMR/LTE/5G/FRMCS.
  • Understanding of Interface Requirements & Design Specifications for standard products and system (Interlocking-ATS, ATS-ETCS, ETCS-Interlocking, ETCS-Fixed/Wireless Network, PIDS, PAS, SCADA).
  • Knowledge about Cybersecurity Design, Principles applicable, Threat and Risk Assessment.
  • Understanding of Hazard Analysis, Risk Analysis, Hazard Log and working experience to support its preparation, providing information and clarification to Safety Team.
  • Thorough understanding of Safety Case, TRA, Export condition to customer incl supporting Safety team for review.
  • Shall be responsible to define, build, lead, and deliver the solution to the customer.
  • Shall be responsible to co-ordinate with key project stakeholder and get aligned to deliver the project within stipulated budget and time.
  • Shall be responsible to evaluate the customer requirements and prepare System Requirements Specification (SRS), System Design Specification.
  • Shall define and control the system and assumes overall technical responsibility for the system architecture and the system concept in customer projects.
  • Shall be responsible for the engineering statement during the bid phase / LoA
  • With regard to the system architecture and the system concept, the System Manager ensures communication and acts as an interface between the project, the Bid Group, Development, Product Management, Engineering and the customer.
  • Responsibility for determination and updating of the system architecture and the system concept lies with the System Manager throughout the entire project duration.
  • Analysis of user requirements with respect to non-existent (loopholes in descriptions), unclear / contradictory or unreasonable requirements, compilation of any assumptions as a substitute for non-existent requirements, and initiation of a speedy, binding clarification of such requirements with the customer.
  • System Operational concept, Scenarios, Rule for Operators, Defining movements, modes, handover and turnback.
  • Consultation with the project manager on system, solution, products, subsystems and architecture issues and development of suggestions for a technically and commercially efficient system concept.
  • Successfully implement highly ambitious tasks in multiple projects and in highly complex environments.
  • Propose efficient/innovative new solutions or methods and/or builds important innovations/patents/impact.
  • Provides mentorship and troubleshooting on highly complex issues.

  • Shall have a good understanding of Systems Engineering lifecycle.

  • Develops new knowledge and procedures; extends and redefines existing knowledge or professional practice
  • Shall be familiar with all process at System and Subsystem level.
  • Shall demonstrate the key leadership skills demanded by the role and should have similar experience at least for a period >5 years in System Management Role. Having Overall experience in Railway Signalling beyond 10-15 years.
  • Shall work closely with PM and Program Manager.
