The Role

As our new Project Planning Manager/Senior Project Planning Manager, you will provide strategic leadership of planning and scheduling activities across major capital projects, programs and portfolios. Working closely with our Project Directors, Project Managers and Project Services leadership, you will establish planning strategies, drive scheduling excellence, and provide critical decision support to help ensure successful project outcomes. You will lead teams of planners and schedulers while acting as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, customers and project leadership teams.

Your key Responsibilities will include:

  • Lead planning and scheduling functions across major projects, programs and portfolios.
  • Develop and implement project planning strategies, execution plans and schedule governance frameworks.
  • Direct the development, integration and maintenance of engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning schedules.
  • Provide expert analysis of project schedules, critical path activities and delivery performance.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across planning, reporting and project controls processes.
  • Lead, mentor and develop teams of planners and schedulers across multiple projects.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture focused on delivery excellence.
  • Provide technical leadership, coaching and guidance to planning professionals at all levels.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, contractors and project stakeholders.
  • Support project pursuits and tender submissions through the development of planning strategies and execution schedules.
  • Act as a trusted advisor on planning, scheduling and project controls matters.

About You:

  • Extensive experience in project planning, scheduling and project controls within EPCM, engineering, energy, resources, chemicals or infrastructure environments.
  • Strong leadership experience managing multidisciplinary teams within complex delivery environments.
  • Advanced knowledge of project controls principles, planning methodologies and schedule governance.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to support project and business decision-making.
  • Advanced Primavera P6 capability.
