• This position is hybrid and will require you to be onsite 3 days per week in CAIRO, EGYPT office

Purpose & Scope 

• As a Finance Lead, you will be reporting directly into the T-MEA Commercial Finance Lead and be responsible for providing support to the senior leaders and teams and provide financial leadership. This role sits on the Leadership Team in Egypt.
• You will be responsible for Egypt, Iraq, Kuwait, Lebanon.

Role and Responsibilities

• This position plans sales and expenses, prepares P&Ls and reports Actuals. Brings transparency to the performance of the market and analyses allocation of resources to the business.
• Coordinate financial planning process for market in accordance with global standards, timelines and templates, in collaboration with Commercial Finance Market Lead and Regional Planning & Analysis team. This includes all major financial planning cycles, such as annual budget, interim forecasts and overall mid-term plan (MTP).
• Be responsible for accurate financial reporting of market.
• Prepare and analyse P&L at market and key brand level. Ensure high forecast accuracy of sales and OP. Prepare insightful presentations for local management. Prepare detailed variance analysis of Actual sales results vs Budget and Forecast.
• Provide financial input on business case development and pricing change discussions before area and regional approval, ensuring key financial, competitive and strategic considerations are accounted for.
• Provides senior level financial and business advice to stakeholders through effective partnerships, useful analyses, and by constructively challenging proposals so Astellas can meet its overall goals effectively.
• Partner with General Manager and Functional Leads of market and provide financial decision support.

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience in financial planning and budgeting within a global pharmaceutical organization in the region
• Experience working with the leadership team
• Excellent communication & presentation skills with an entrepreneurial mindset 
• Knowledge and experience of financial analysis.
• Strong written and verbal communication in English and Arabic
• BS/BA in Finance / Accounting or equivalent 

Preferred Qualifications 

• Solid organization, project and change management skills in a matrix environment
• Experienced working with ERP systems, planning tools and Excel and PowerPoint.
