The Worldwide Aviation Support Services (WASS) program, an AAR business, headquartered in Rockledge, FL, provides global, world-class expeditionary and conventional aviation solutions to the US Department of State Air Wing.

Role Description:

Maintain, verify, and monitor the Fuel quality and equipment at the main base and outlying FOL as required. Assist with the maintenance of the Ground Support Equipment GSE in accordance with the maintenance manuals and INLA standards. Maintain the quality control, and safety programs at the floor level in support of assigned fuel equipment. This position is in Pucallpa, Peru. 

Key Responsibility:

  • Receive fuel deliveries. Refuel helicopters, fixed wing aircraft, motor vehicles, and other INL Aviation program assets. 
  • Perform fuel quality control and analysis using Aqua Glo equipment and the B 2 Kit. 
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on fuel equipment. 
  • Maintain fuel accounting records, including minimum and maximum stock levels. 
  • Operate fuel tanker trucks for aircraft refueling. 
  • Operate the Bryan T tank. 
  • Carry out refueling operations using FARE equipment. 

 

Qualifications 

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent. 
  • 2 years of experience working in aviation programs and or minimum of one 1 year of experience working with the U.S. Government aviation program. 
  • Must possess a valid drivers license. 
  • Demonstrated successful judgment and decision making, considering the relative costs, benefits, and drawbacks of potential courses of action to choose the most appropriate recommendation. 
  • Works effectively as part of a team while communicating information and ideas orally so others will understand. 
  • Give full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times 
  • Communicating effectively in writing reports. 
  • Possess good communication skills, capable to train, be adaptable, diversified, and able to solve problems as a team. 

Preferred

  • 5 years of experience working on DoS aviation programs, Fueling of aircraft concept and its application to State Dept procedures. 
  • Field Team maintenance concept and its application to the repair of ground support equipment. 
  • 1 year of professional experience in INL programs, U.S. Embassy environments.
