Exceptional Hospitality Starts with You
Picture yourself brightening someone's day. When you join our Hotels team, that's exactly what you'll do every time you come to work.
As a Maintenance Team Member (Carpenter), you're not just performing daily maintenance—you’re creating safe, functional, and welcoming spaces that allow our guests to enjoy a comfortable and memorable stay. Through your craftsmanship, attention to detail, and commitment to quality, you help spread the light and warmth of hospitality in every corner of our hotel.
In this role, you will carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities, with a primary focus on carpentry works. You will inspect, repair, and install wooden furniture, doors, cabinets, wardrobes, shelving, locks, skirting, and other fixtures to ensure they remain safe, functional, and visually appealing. You will also perform minor painting, polishing, tiling, drywall repairs, silicone works, and general handyman tasks as required.
Working closely with the Engineering team, you will respond promptly to maintenance requests, conduct routine inspections, identify potential issues before they become major problems, and ensure all work is completed in accordance with Hilton standards and safety regulations. You will maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, support refurbishment projects, and contribute to maintaining the overall appearance and integrity of the hotel.
Every repair you complete, every fixture you restore, and every detail you perfect helps create an exceptional environment for our guests and team members. Because behind every outstanding guest experience is a well-maintained hotel—and your craftsmanship makes that possible.
Here's what you'll do during a typical day:
- Perform room maintenance: Complete daily repairs and maintenance tasks, including carpet cleaning and floor polishing, to ensure guest rooms and hallways are in proper working order
- Manage inventory: Maintain appropriate stock levels of replacement items for guest rooms and corridors
- Ensure safety compliance: Identify and report any health or safety issues found on guest floors
- Support special projects: Assist with ad hoc maintenance tasks and departmental projects as needed
