What will I be doing?
As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for carrying out carpentry, woodworking, lock, glass, maintenance, repair, and decorative works throughout the hotel to the highest standards, ensuring an excellent experience for our Guests and Team Members.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Carry out carpentry, woodworking, lock, glass, maintenance, repair, and decorative works throughout the hotel.
Manufacture, install, maintain, and repair wooden fixtures, furniture, doors, cabinets, and other wooden components.
Complete all assigned Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) tasks and maintain accurate maintenance records.
Comply with all Health & Safety regulations by following Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
Ensure all workshop equipment, hand tools, and fixed assets are maintained in good working condition, including regular maintenance and inventory checks.
Safely and correctly operate all hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment under your responsibility.
Monitor external contractors to ensure compliance with Hilton standards and Health & Safety regulations, taking appropriate action when necessary.
Respond promptly and professionally to guest maintenance requests and resolve complaints in accordance with Hilton standards.
Actively participate in emergency response teams.
Carry out all assigned duties and attend all required training programs.
Manage the ordering, storage, protection, and inventory control of spare parts and consumable materials.
What are we looking for?
A Carpenter serving Hilton brands is always working on behalf of our Guests and collaborating with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow:
- Vocational High School diploma or Associate Degree in Furniture, Wood Technologies, Carpentry, or a related field is preferred.
- MYK (Vocational Qualifications Authority of Türkiye) Vocational Qualification Certificate is preferred.
- Previous carpentry experience in hotels, shopping malls, hospitals, or other large-scale facilities.
- Knowledge and experience in woodworking, furniture repair, doors, locks, glazing, and decorative finishing works.
- Ability to safely and effectively use carpentry tools, hand tools, and power tools.
- Knowledge of planned preventive maintenance and repair procedures.
- Good understanding and application of Health & Safety regulations.
- Strong team player with a responsible and solution-oriented approach.
- Excellent communication skills with a strong commitment to guest satisfaction.
- Awareness of energy efficiency and responsible resource management.
- Experience in technical materials, spare parts, and inventory management is preferred.
