Enterprise Systems is part of IS&T and owns the technology behind Apple's SAP environment and its modernization through the SAP Landscape Modernization (SLM) initiative. The team manages the continuous operation, maintenance, and evolution of the world's largest single-instance SAP deployment — a platform that sustains Apple's global supply chain and the integrity of its core financial systems.

Description

We are seeking for an Engineering Project Manager to join our SAP team. The successful candidate will work closely with business and technical teams across multiple locations and timezones. The role focused on Operations or AppleCare Service Management, requires delivery of complex enterprise solutions in a highly customised landscape and holds responsibilities for all aspects of the project including:

• Define system architecture design, collaborate with stakeholders across Business Domains and translating complex cross-functional business needs into system design and technical specifications.
• Implementing, deploying, and managing technical solutions on SAP platform and integrations between SAP solutions and external partner systems.
• Technical design and implementation of integration between Apple and its extensive Supply Chain partner networks (OEMs, 3PLs, Logistics Carriers, ASP, Repair Centers and Depots, Telco, Resellers, component suppliers, etc) utilising multiple integration frameworks and platforms such as sFTP, EDI, API, XML, Portals, CPI, Webmethods, BTP solutions.
• Extending SAP standard features to support Apple needs through SAP enhancement and extensibility framework utilising user-exits, implicit enhancements, BADIs, BAPIs, etc
• Constructing, operating, and maintaining end-to-end system process integrations within SAP Core, S/4HANA.
• Developing and implementing best-in-class solutions that are fully integrated with Apple’s Information Technology standards and demonstrate industry best practices.
• Develop technical specifications and reviewing the technical development team's work for accuracy and completeness.
• Provide engineering guidance for technical integration with cross-functional teams and external partner systems.
• Integration testing across multiple systems (internal and external) on a worldwide level, project cutover, go-live support and project closure/handover to the SAP support teams
• Incorporating security and encryption engineering concepts into solutions for PII/PIC data element handling.
• Executing projects, setting project deliverable priorities, and monitoring and reporting on the process, progress, and results.
• Participating in the partner selection process and preparing technical requirement documents.
• Review partner system design to ensure that solution is robust and scalable, and aligned with Apple’s operational targets
• Lead and advise on architecture scaling discussions for NPI and other peak events within SAP as well as other engineering teams like ETS, integration services, etc

Preferred Qualifications

Deep knowledge of test automation tools and approaches to automate regression and performance testing.
WMS operations and systems (SAP, In-house build, Manhattan, Blue Yonder, etc)
Python, Java, JavaScript, and CAP framework on SAP BTP.
Proficiency in essential skills to harness Generative AI across the SAP ecosystem.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or Technology or equivalent years of work experience with Supply chain management domain experience.
Min. 7-10 years of SAP experience in a techno-functional or project lead role.
Technical in-depth system hands-on expertise in one or more of the following areas: SAP Logistics modules(MM/SD/LE), WM, EWM, TMS, EM, SM, APO/gATP/aATP
Specialisation in SAP techno-functional and technical system process knowledge on Service Management, Supply Chain Management, Operations, with demonstrated expertise in the relevant SAP technical modules applied in consumer and B2B domains.
Extensive hands-on expertise on customising and demonstrated ability to engineer and deliver new solutions or enhance existing solutions on SAP.
Proven ability to work with and drive workshops/solutions in collaboration with stakeholders..
Demonstrated capability in managing international projects end-to-end, working with global teams, and establishing technical and business partnerships.
High comfort in working with ambiguity, with excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
Proficiency in using SAP BTP, SAPUI5, and building integration with external systems using technologies such as iDocs, EDI, APIs, XML, PIP, ALE, BAPI, RFC, ODATA, and/or SOAP/REST.
Experience in implementing SAP BTP applications and integrations between SAP and non-SAP solutions, including end to end system integration with external partners.
Proficiency in ABAP and Java, including code walkthrough and debugging.
Understanding of performance engineering concepts to optimise response time and throughput, and incorporate these into system design and manage performance testing
Creative, team-oriented professional with quantitative, interpersonal skills, and a drive to challenge the status quo.
Propensity and aptitude to learn and work on new technology areas across the SAP landscape and its boundary systems
