Join us in this role where you’ll lead marine affairs activities to support the development, construction, and operational phases of our offshore wind projects. You'll be working closely with internal and external stakeholders, you'll drive marine policy advocacy, fisheries engagement, and strategic stakeholder partnerships to resolve complex issues, build consensus, and enable successful project delivery while supporting our business objectives.

You’ll be part of Taiwan Regulatory & Public Affairs where you, together with your colleagues, will be responsible for regulatory affairs, public affairs, and local stakeholder management.

You’ll play an important role in:

  • building trusted relationships with fisheries communities, port authorities, marine policy authorities, NGOs, and maritime stakeholders
  • leading marine stakeholder engagement across development, construction, and operations, including cable crossings, fisheries matter, and ports development
  • serving as the primary interface with the fisheries community, acting as the fisheries liaison to support safe and sustainable coexistence between offshore wind and fishing activities
  • tracking developments in marine-related areas and provide clear insights and strategic recommendations to support internal decision-making
  • supporting and execute marine policy advocacy efforts, engaging with the authorities and industry groups to help shape relevant regulations.

 

 

To succeed in the role, you:

  • have strong understanding of Taiwan's marine policy, regulatory, and stakeholder landscape, including fisheries, marine governance, port management, and maritime security
  • have experience in marine affairs or related fields, with a proven track record of working with government bodies, fisheries organizations, port authorities, and other marine stakeholders
  • demonstrated ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships, including sensitive engagement with fisheries and coastal communities, and to drive constructive, solution-oriented outcomes
  • have strong commercial mindset with the ability to balance stakeholder considerations and business priorities in a dynamic environment
  • have excellent interpersonal and communication skills across diverse audiences. Fluency in Mandarin Chinese and English; proficiency in Taiwanese is an advantage.

Please note that you’re expected to do some travelling in relation to your work, as you’ll be based in Ørsted's Changhua office and this role requires more than 20% travel, primarily within Taiwan, to engage with fisheries communities, organizations authorities across Taiwan, and colleagues at Ørsted's Taipei office.
