What are your contributions to the team?

As the Engines Project Manager, your primary responsibility will be to establish & manage a new business sector of engines MRT (mobile repair team) to service our customers within North America. Work alongside established airframe MRT (mobile repair team) services teams to build an engine MRT entry-into-service plan that is executable as early as first quarter 2027. The Project Manager will be required to interface with customers & with the BAS General Managers & Managers where needed.

  • Adhere to Bombardier General Work Requirements.
  • Serve as primary point-of-contact for BAS sites in daily communications, coordinating, & follow-up for engine/APU activities.
  • Work together with the Engines leadership team
  • Provide support to the Sales team on identifying and closing sales of engine/APU maintenance related work packages
  • Interface with 3rd party suppliers on outsourced engine packages to oversee and manage events
  • Develop, implement, & monitor strong processes for engine/APU work to ensure consistency & maximum value to the Company.
  • Advise on training and tooling requirements for current and future engine/APU work for the BAS network.  To also include recommendations on parts provisioning to meet demand.
  • Assist in strategic planning to identify additional areas of technical scope for engine/APU work for potential sales of work packages
  • Support BAS sites to execute and maintain schedule of engine/APU events involving 3rd parties. Includes adherence to work schedules, technical scope, & cost control
  • Facilitate status meetings with all sites on engine/APU activity, improvement, & growth opportunities
  • Assist & support BAS sites with special programs (i.e., ESP, MSP, CorporateCare and OnPoint) and engine/APU warranty issues.
  • Support BAS site where required with post engine/APU work package activities, (i.e., customer follow-up calls, resolve customer issues after departure).
  • Responsible for meeting or exceeding facility financial objectives on all projects 

How to thrive in this role?

  • You typically have a minimum of 5 years of experience in working in aircraft maintenance environment or substantial similar experience.
  • You typically have a minimum 2 years of project management experience or 2 years of supervisory or lead experience or substantial similar experience.
  • You have a strong maintenance expertise with Bombardier Aircraft engines and APUs.
  • You have ability to use borescope and maintain training certifications.
  • You have working knowledge of regulatory governance FAA, EASA, or Transport Canada, for example, part 91, 121, 135 & 145.
  • You have working knowledge of aircraft engine/APU maintenance inspection programs.
  • You have working knowledge of Environmental, Health & Safety rules and regulations as they apply to workplace safety and environmental aspects of aircraft maintenance operations.
  • You have interpersonal skills necessary to develop and maintain effective working relationships with employees, customers, all levels of management team, and other departments.
  • You have customer service skills necessary to modify communication, tone, and presentation to defuse crisis situations with internal and external customers and maintain mutually beneficial customer relations.
  • You have strong verbal and written communications skills.
  • You have planning and organization skills necessary to plan, prioritize and coordinate workload within a multiple project setting.
  • You have computer skills necessary to learn and / or operate, word processing, spreadsheet, database, presentation, project, email, and web-based applications as well as operating systems used to manage the maintenance work.
  • You have the ability to travel throughout the Bombardier network
