PURPOSE
To lead the effective, efficient and profitable day‑to‑day management of the assigned Namibia Breweries Distribution Depot. The role is responsible for delivering operational excellence across distribution and warehouse activities, safeguarding stock and assets, enabling high levels of customer service, and leading engaged and capable teams.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- A Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related field
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in an FMCG distribution or sales environment, with at least 3 years in a managerial role
- Sound working knowledge of the Liquor Act No. 6 of 1998 and its application within depot and distribution operations
- Strong experience in depot, warehouse or distribution management
- Proficiency in MS Office
- SAP experience will be an advantage
- Proven people leadership, coaching and performance management capability
- Valid Driving License
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Manage and control depot costs and expenses in line with approved budgets
- Optimise asset utilisation through effective planning, monitoring and maintenance
- Manage end‑to‑end processes from warehouse to distribution, ensuring adherence to operational procedures and service standards
- Ensure effective stock control practices to minimise losses, damages and variances
- Supervise stock counts, investigate variances and drive corrective actions
- Manage the stock ageing process in line with company policy
- Coordinate load planning and execution with transport teams to ensure efficient deliveries
- Manage warehouse space to support effective replenishment and demand fulfilment
- Maintain accurate information systems and operational reporting
- Build and maintain strong customer and stakeholder relationships
- Ensure compliance with internal governance standards and health & safety requirements
- Lead, coach and develop depot employees, driving performance, engagement and continuous improvement
