AutoCAD Draftsperson

• The role involves preparing detailed technical drawings, layouts, and schematics using AutoCAD and related design tools for IT infrastructure, physical security, and data center projects.
• Interpreting project specifications, collaborating with engineers and project managers, updating drawings based on field feedback, and ensuring all designs meet relevant standards and client requirements.
• Maintain organized drawing files, support documentation for proposals and installations, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to align designs with project timelines and quality expectations.
• Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, architectural plans, and technical specifications related to IT, low-current, or physical security systems.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work closely with engineers, project managers, and on-site teams.

Requirements

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in engineering, drafting, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 2–5 years of experience as an AutoCAD Draftsman/Designer or in a similar technical drafting role.

• Prior experience in an IT systems integrator, or engineering firm in Cairo or the wider region is a plus.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and other CAD/design tools, with the ability to produce accurate 2D drawings and technical layouts.
• Solid understanding of basic engineering and design principles, preferably in network infrastructure, cabling, data centers, or security systems.
• Good organizational and documentation skills, including maintaining drawing registers, version control, and project records.
• Proficiency with MS Office and basic IT tools, familiarity with industry standards and local regulations is an advantage.
