We are looking for an IT Solutions Engineer to join our Product Documentation team. In this role, you will help transform technical engineering input into structured requirements, reliable data models, and high-quality documentation for engineering, calibration, integration, and legal use cases.
Our environment combines specialized documentation editors with data integration from tools such as Matlab/Simulink, Polarion, and RV&S, enabling the generation of documentation in formats such as PDF, ETAS eHandbook, and specialized reports.
You will work closely with engineers, tool owners, and internal stakeholders to improve documentation processes, ensure data consistency, and support scalable transformation workflows.
You Key Responsabilities:
- Analyze technical and engineering data from internal stakeholders and customers.
- Translate business, engineering, and documentation needs into structured requirements, specifications, and deliverables.
- Compare data models, identify mappings, detect inconsistencies, and define transformation strategies.
- Support the integration of data from tools such as Matlab/Simulink, Polarion, and RV&S into a common data pool.
- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of structured documentation in formats such as PDF, ETAS eHandbook, DOCX, and specialized reports.
- Work with specialized editors and relevant standards to ensure documentation quality, consistency, traceability, and reusability.
- Collaborate with engineers, tool owners, and process stakeholders to improve documentation and integration workflows.
- Support automation and standardization initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce manual effort.
- Contribute to troubleshooting, technical analysis, and continuous improvement of documentation-related processes.
Your Qualifications:
- Academic degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Fluent English is mandatory.
- Strong proficiency in one or more of the following: C#, Python, Java, JSON, LaTeX, and web technologies including REST/SOAP APIs.
- Proven experience with XML standards and technologies, such as: XML Schema, XSLT, XPath, Namespaces
- Experience in generating and transforming document standards such as PDF and DOCX.
- Familiarity with documentation-related standards such as DocBook, DITA, ASAM MDX, FSX, and Catalog.
- Experience with conversion and manipulation of image formats.
- Knowledge and hands-on experience with Git, GitHub, Jira, Confluence, and/or ALM tools such as Polarion, RV&S, or Codebeamer.
- Preferred: familiarity with .NET/Mono, AWS, Terraform, and Docker.
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot.
- Strong problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in complex systems with multiple stakeholders and requirements.
- Experience in automotive, engineering documentation, or calibration environments;
- Knowledge of documentation lifecycle management and traceability concepts;
- Experience with data transformation pipelines or model-based engineering tools;
- Familiarity with automation scripting for documentation generation;
- Exposure to validation, compliance, or legal documentation workflows.
