What You Will Do
The IT Commercial & Digital Lead plays a key role in transforming principles into action for platforms delivering technology-enabled offerings. Focuses on a customer-first approach by prioritizing business outcomes throughout the end-to-end value chain to maximize value for the customer. Enables empowered decision-making close to desired outcomes and designs processes, systems, and operations for efficiency and simplicity. Fosters transparency and trust to align IT and business outcomes, creating a collaborative environment. Builds a skill-based organization that encourages talent fluidity across teams and emphasizes higher quality outcomes.
The IT Commercial Lead is responsible for defining the architecture, end-to-end strategy, and delivery of the IT landscape that supports and enables commercial business. This role drives continuous improvement and digital transformation by partnering with business stakeholders to identify opportunities, develop scalable solutions, and enable the adoption and effective use of artificial intelligence and emerging technologies to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and decision-making across the Ruveon organization.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Represent all IT/Digital efforts supporting the commercial function of the Ruveon business, including co-developing the respective digital business, IT strategy and other areas of innovation to drive innovation within the commercial function;
- Partner with commercial and enterprise stakeholders to identify business needs, technology opportunities, and efficiency levers, translating them into scalable digital roadmaps, prioritized initiatives, and measurable outcomes;
- Drive the adoption and effective utilization of artificial intelligence, automation, analytics, and emerging technologies to enhance commercial operations, decision-making, productivity, and end-user experience across Ruveon;
- Shape and enable modern commercial capabilities across areas such as sales, marketing, customer engagement, data insights, and digital platforms, in partnership with business leaders, Bayer IT teams, and external providers;
- Foster transparency (e.g., objectives, costs, insights), and lead the total cost of ownership (TCO) view in decisions and activate efficiencies within Ruveon;
- Coordinate and manage the delivery, rollout, continuous improvement, and lifecycle management of IT services, digital solutions, and commercial platforms supporting the Ruveon business;
- Ensure adherence to relevant Bayer IT policies, procedures, cybersecurity requirements, data governance standards, and responsible AI practices within commercial and digital areas;
- Collaborate with the IT Operations & Cyber Security Lead to review the performance and delivery of IT LTAs and ensuring business continuity for the Ruveon commercial and digital operations;
- Advocate for Ruveon requirements in Bayer implementations, transformation initiatives, and other projects, while identifying impacts, dependencies, and opportunities for the Ruveon commercial and digital landscape.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field;
- Proven stakeholder management & cross functional collaboration skills, especially collaborating with business leaders to identify technology needs and deliver tailored digital solutions;
- Demonstrated effectiveness facing high level of ambiguity with resilience and persistence;
- Detailed knowledge in CRM, other digital sales & marketing platforms or corresponding ERP functionality;
- Experience identifying, evaluating, and enabling practical artificial intelligence, automation, analytics, and emerging technology use cases that improve business efficiency, decision-making, and user experience;
- Ability to promote responsible AI adoption, including awareness of data governance, cybersecurity, compliance, change management, and ethical use considerations;
- Advanced proficiency in managing a large portfolio strategy, IT projects, and initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and user satisfaction within business functions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in related field preferred;
- 10+ years of experience preferably in Information Technology with relevant experience and knowledge in Commercial, Marketing or Digital.

Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $127200.00 - $190800.00. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant).
