How You Will Make a Difference 

  • Deploy the Total Productive Maintenance principles within the business unit by using existing systems and implementing improved ones for ease of use. Ensure that these systems are sustained using audits and Gembas.
  • Ensure that assigned projects are executed in time, to plan and within set budgets.
  • Ensure the maximum availability of production facilities through the effective utilization of engineering labour, equipment and materials.
  • Ensure that preventive maintenance is carried out thoroughly, as per schedule and on time.
  • Maintain an in-depth and up to date knowledge of the extent of major breakdowns and progress of works. Be able to assess the likely condition, duration and completion time for major breakdowns and report to his manager.
  • Ensures a safe and healthy workplace, including the promotion of the environmental, health and safety standards, integrated management systems and any other relevant initiatives.
  • Coach/Train, Maintenance/Operations personnel to introduce new systems/techniques allowing the smooth progression towards an operational excellence team.
  • Communicates in form of report, presentations and other means when required.
  • Provides technical documentation for new projects, installations and/or modifications.
  • Liaise directly with OEM and generic suppliers.
  • Generation of SOPs and Work Instructions where necessary capturing vital information regarding maintenance interventions.
  • Facilitate continuous improvement exercises while promoting team integration and participation.
  • Take initiatives to undergo any relevant training courses
  • Complete goals defined at all levels (individual, team, site & corporate)
  • Attendance of self
  • Report and contribute to resolving Safety and Security near miss reports.
  • Organize and support in training of new candidates and provide requested information to promote team building.

What We Are Looking For 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or an equivalent qualification and 2 years manufacturing experience
  • Ability to be flexible and effective in a fast-paced, high-tech manufacturing environment 
  • Experience in lean manufacturing, 5S methods, CI leadership style with an analytical mindset
  • Technical aptitude, either formal or experiential.
  • Hands-on approach and go to person for their team.
  • Demonstrated experience in AM/PM and Focused Improvement.
  • Quality assurance awareness and problem-solving acumen.
  • Excellent technical report writing and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure environment.
  • Ability to ensure compliance to company procedures.
  • Good communication skills to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Read/Write technical standard operating procedures.
  • Demonstrate coaching skills.
  • HSE and Security acumen.
  • Positive attitude with a desire to develop.
  • Continuous Improvement drive
  • Flexibility and adaptability as required by the business needs.
  • Sense of urgency and initiative.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
