PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

Specialist Procurement & Contract AI, supports the implementation, optimization, and ongoing administration of the Contract AI platform within Procurement to reduce contract value leakage, improve compliance, and drive value realization. This role serves as a key link between Procurement and Information Systems (IS), translating contract and business requirements into AI-enabled solutions, including defined AI agents, business rules, and technical specifications that can be effectively deployed within AI-driven tools.

 

 

This position can be based in Calgary or Kansas City.

 

POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Support the implementation and continuous improvement of Contract AI tools to extract key contractual clauses (e.g., pricing, rate cards, discounts, SLAs, rebates, termination rights)
  • Translate contractual language into structured data models that can be leveraged by AI agents for automated analysis and validation
  • Configure and tune AI models/agents to improve accuracy in clause detection, classification, and applicability
  • Validate AI-generated outputs against contract source documents to ensure accuracy and alignment with negotiated terms
  • Support the development of invoice compliance frameworks that compare contractual terms to actual supplier billings to identify leakage, overbilling, or non-compliance
  • Lead investigations into identified discrepancies and support resolution with suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Maintain a library of standardized contract clauses and taxonomy to support consistent AI interpretation and application
  • Partner closely with Sourcing leads to understand negotiated contract terms, interpret commercial intent, and ensure those terms are correctly applied to invoicing, supplier performance monitoring, compliance tracking, within the Contract AI platform.
  • The role will work with IS on system integration, model improvements, reporting, and scalable deployment across procurement categories to identify leakage, enforce commercial terms, and improve sourcing outcomes. In doing so, this position will help enable the continued growth and adoption of AI within Procurement through Contract AI and other emerging AI tools.
  • Identify opportunities to expand AI use cases (e.g., obligation tracking, milestone monitoring, automated dispute triggers)

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Information systems, contract negotiation, sourcing, or procurement
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Experience working with complex commercial agreements (e.g., MSAs, SOWs, pricing models, rate cards)
  • Experience with AI/ML tools, data analytics platforms, or intelligent automation solutions (e.g., Contract AI, NLP tools, or similar technologies)
  • Technical proficiency in one or more of the following:
    • Data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Python, Power BI)
    • AI/ML or natural language processing concepts
    • System integration or data mapping
  • Strong understanding of how procurement and finance systems operate (e.g., SAP, Ariba, invoice processing workflows)
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with Procurement, IS, Finance, and Legal teams
  • Ability to develop and deliver formal presentations & business cases on portfolio specific topics

Management Conductor Program
