What You’ll Be Doing
Are you a self-starter with a sharp sales mindset? Do you thrive on building relationships and spotting opportunities others might miss? At Selleys, we’re looking for ambitious individuals from all walks of life to join us as a Territory Manager—someone who’s ready to grow with us and help shape the future of our business.
This role is perfect for someone who’s self-motivated, commercially astute, and passionate about making a real impact. You’ll be the face of Selleys across West Auckland, working with key customers like Mitre 10, Bunnings, Placemakers, Carters, Guthrie Bowron, Dulux, and more.
This position will be a key advisor and influencer, playing an important role in growing business in both the retail and trade channels. You will be a self-driven professional with strong communication and relationships skills, which will enable you to work closely with our retail channels.
Responsibilities
- Managing a portfolio of customers, driving sales opportunities and being the face of the business
- Building trust and influencing customers by demonstrating sound understanding of data, category management principles, product and market knowledge
- Executing strategies to create demand and achieve sales targets and KPI’s
- Managing and planning your time effectively, to maintain your customer visits and call cycles
- Identify & maximize instore growth opportunities

What We’re Looking for
You don’t need to tick every box, but ideally you’ll bring:
- Experience in sales or account management, ideally within hardware, FMCG, trade or retail‑aligned industries
- Strong relationship‑building skills
- Confidence working independently and autonomously
- A commercial mindset with the ability to use data and analytics to manage performance
- High energy, initiative and a collaborative team approach
- A stable work history and long‑term mindset
This is a farming role, so experience and enjoyment in managing and growing existing customer relationships is essential.
