About Us

Almost every single thing that you eat, wear, or use (yes, even the screen you’re reading this on) is imported. Freight quite literally moves the world. And we’re helping it move even better.

Freightos (Nasdaq: CRGO) is the global booking and payment platform for the trillion-dollar freight industry. Hundreds of airlines and ocean liners, thousands of freight companies, and over ten thousand importers and exporters use our platform to move goods around the world faster and more efficiently. This matters. Efficient freight ultimately makes things cost a little bit less when you buy them in the store.

As the leading global freight booking platform for a massive industry, we’ve been crushing it with double-digit growth, year after year, supporting well over one million shipments every year.

About the Role

But enough freight. Let’s talk about you. And, fine, a little about freight.

A Freightos, we’ve got an elite squad of Site Reliability Engineers for that. These Super Resilient Engineers (not their official title, but it works) swoop in with their code and coffee, ready to tackle issues impacting customers’ experience and system reliability. You'll be the hero in diagnosing problems, resolving customer issues, and identifying root causes. You'll create processes and methodologies so it never happens again. Just you, your keyboard, a huge, huge mission, and an occasional Falafel Sandwich. Oh, and also on the DevOps side of our work, you also help us scale our services and maintain our software compliance requirements.

Requirements

About you:

  • Own system reliability and performance end to end, build tools, and process for system monitoring.
  • Capacity Management across multiple microservices and dimensions (okay, probably just microservices).
  • Work/maintain CI/CD (and understand/comprehend acronyms/initials).
  • Troubleshoot and debug, solve complex problems, introduce mechanisms, and use new designs and best practices to prevent the recurrence of the problem. Grab a calendar or two - you’ll need to help with our release management.
  • Participate in planning for new initiatives in the deployment cycle throughout the R&D organization.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation to provide 24x7 support. Don’t worry, we’ll keep the coffee flowing.

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of experience in DevOps, technical architecture, or application development.
  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science or any related field.
  • Excellent Computer Science fundamentals, scripting language, algorithm design, problem-solving, and complexity analysis. Basically, you’ve got the skills that make others say “Wow!”
  • Good knowledge of Google/AWS cloud infrastructure and platforms (load balancers, storage, databases, Kubernetes, etc).
  • Experience in CI/CD tools like Jenkins.
  • Experience in maintaining large-scale, high-performing, and distributed systems.
  • Experience in designing tools to automate operational processes.
  • Prior work with building and configuring monitoring tools.
  • Excellent communication, self-organization, time management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Programming skills in Java or an OO programming language is a plus. Because everyone likes objects, right?
  • Experience in infrastructure security (You’re the kind of person who locks the door behind you—digitally, of course).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in GCP/AWS cloud infrastructure.
  • Linux experience.
