We are seeking a skilled and motivated Chassis CAE Engineer with a strong background in finite element (FE) analysis and durability simulation. This role plays a key part in ensuring structural integrity and long-term performance of chassis through advanced computer-aided engineering (CAE) techniques.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in durability simulation, with demonstrated proficiency in using industry-standard solvers and pre-/post-processing tools. Hands-on experience in FE model building using ANSA is essential, along with a solid understanding of chassis structures, and fatigue performance.
Requirements
Degree/ Qualification:- Actively enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Perform durability simulations chassis using FE methods and CAE tools.
- Develop high-quality FE models of body structures and closures using ANSA.
- Identify potential failure modes and recommend design improvements to meet durability targets.
- Collaborate with design, test, and other CAE teams to ensure alignment of simulation results with physical testing
- Support correlation activities between simulation and test data to improve model accuracy.
- Participate in the continuous improvement of modeling and simulation methodologies.
- Minimum of 2 years of practical experience in CAE durability simulations.
- Proficiency in at least one solver such as Nastran, Abaqus (preferred), Ansys, or OptiStruct.
- Strong expertise in finite element (FE) model creation using ANSA.
- Solid understanding of fatigue analysis principles, with hands-on experience in one or more of the following tools: OptiStruct, nCode DesignLife, or FEMFAT preferred.
- Good knowledge of mechanics, strength of materials, and finite element analysis methods.
- Fluent in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to perform effectively under high-pressure conditions typical of a startup environment, with strong multitasking and project management skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with keen attention to detail.
- Self-motivated and enthusiastic about continuously acquiring new skills and mastering emerging tools and technologies
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Proven skills in communicating complex information clearly and succinctly through presentations and written reports.
