The Attribute Bench-marking Lead Engineer is responsible for defining and executing competitive bench-marking activities to support vehicle attribute target setting and product development. This role serves as the technical bridge between market intelligence, customer expectations, competitor analysis, and vehicle engineering
teams.
Position Responsibilities :
- Lead vehicle and competitor bench-marking activities to identify performance gaps, customer expectations, and best practices across key vehicle attributes.
- Translate bench-marking insights into Vehicle Technical Specifications (VTS), engineering targets, and product improvement recommendations.
- Plan and execute objective and subjective vehicle evaluations, including testing, tear-down analysis, and technology assessments.
- Develop and maintain bench-marking databases, standards, methodologies, and technical reports to support product development.
- Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor products to provide strategic technical intelligence.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support vehicle development, attribute target setting, and competitive product positioning.
- Drive continuous improvement of bench-marking processes through digital tools, data analytics, and AI-enabled solutions.
Requirements
Education/ Professional knowledge:
- Bachelor's degree in Automotive , Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or a related field, with 5+ years of experience in vehicle development, attribute engineering, testing, or bench-marking.
Skill, Experience:
- Strong knowledge of vehicle attributes, bench-marking methodologies, Vehicle Technical Specifications (VTS), and automotive development processes.
- Proven ability to analyze technical data, identify competitive gaps, and translate bench-marking insights into engineering requirements and product improvements.
- Excellent project management, cross-functional collaboration, problem-solving, and technical communication skills with proficiency in English.
- Experience with engineering and data analysis tools (e.g., CATIA/NX, Teamcenter, JIRA, Excel, Power BI) and familiarity with AI-enabled bench-marking tools is an advantage.
