Siemens Digital Industries Software is a leading provider of solutions for the design, simulation, and manufacture of products across many different industries. Formula 1 cars, skyscrapers, ships, space exploration vehicles, and many of the objects we see in our daily lives are being conceived and manufactured using our Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software.
We are looking for a Sales Operation Specialist to support the Opportunity to Order (O2O) function within the Siemens DI SW Organization. This role will apply O2O understanding with specific knowledge and skills to complete a wide range of dynamic tasks. The role will typically operate under supervision, however, will perform tasks independently to support sales teams & partners in their Quote creation, Order (SOEF) validation, process and tools, global policies, pricing agreements, orders tracking for both sales teams and partners.
Responsibilities:
O2O Efficiency
  • Supports the sales teams and partners in the selling process and post-selling activities.
  • Responsible for the Opportunity to Order (O2O) workflow processes. Supports and monitors the entire O2O process from submission, workflow, approval (ensure approval justifications are gathered, clean orders are checked off) to internal acceptance with final delivery, billing and revenue recognition
  • Assist sales teams and partners to ensure requirements for Quote and Order submission are fulfilled (e.g. payer and credit limit set up, EES requirements, ECC / DAMEX requirements etc.)
  • Coordinates complex queries on products, pricing, licensing, install data including non -standard, trade-in or 3rd party products
  • Checks billing status and work with sales and finance to resolve billing issues
  • Review of manual orders to ensure clean order submission (COD, EULA, PST, GSLA, PO, policy clearance and sign off)
Process and Tools Requirements
  • Understands company processes and policies related to Sales
  • Proficient in Corporate tools – Salesforce CRM and Web tools
  • Participates in UAT, identifies and clarifies issues and/or enhancement requests.
  • Assists in local deployment including notification and guidance to local internal users and partners.
  • Coordinates with zone support team for new users, partners or organizational change set-up
  • Provides tools support to regional users.
  • Conducts training and knowledge transfer to local users (new user, refresh training as appropriate
Global Policies
  • Be familiar with corporate policies and performs policy validation and collection of approvals ahead of time. This also includes facilitation of the contract and legal bidding document approval as needed
Pricing Agreement
  • Maintaining pricing agreements
Sales Tracking
  • Maintains and updates order tracking list
  • Assists in reporting and forecasting process
Partner Support
  • Performs partner support (i.e. web-key creation for partners, training to partners, demo licenses application etc.)
  • Involved in the partner onboarding, termination process, reseller agreement, quarterly performance points (PFP) analysis, partner Transfer Price and MDF process
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years’ work experience in a Quote-To-Cash role in a multinational company environment
  • Prior experience working in a SaaS company preferred
  • Prior experience working with channel partners preferred
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English
  • Excellent numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve issues or sharing recommendations
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills with a customer focused approach
  • Experienced in complex analysis of policy, workflows, process and system tools and transactions to facilitate timely and accurate transactions that align with prevailing policy and process guidelines
  • Experienced in doing transactional processing of quote and/or proposal activities in adherence with prescribed policy and processes
  • Familiar with reporting/forecasting process; training/knowledge transfer to internal/external; support EES/ECC; actively participating in process improvement engagement activities
  • Detailed, strong follow up and good time management skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, especially MS Excel
  • Willing to work overtime hours during month-end/quarter-end
