What is this career opportunity?
The Statewide Accounting Daily Operations Section is a team of 7 accountants and accounting technicians at the center of accounting for Montana state government. We are seeking an accounting technician with excellent soft skills to join our team!  Your responsibilities would include:

  • Delivering technical assistance to state agencies regarding deposit processing and accounts receivable

  • Researching and documenting deposit issues

  • Reconciling bank accounts

  • Preparing daily deposits

  • Confirming and approving both domestic and international wires

  • Completing cash concentration sweeps

  • Performing various other accounting transactions related to AR items

  • Assisting both internal and external customers over the phone and in writing with deposit and other miscellaneous questions

 

What are we looking for?

Education and Experience: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent AND

  • Two years of job-related experience OR

  • Alternate combinations of education and experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
