The Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology is the academic department of the University to support wide range of in-patient and outpatient care services pertinent to general obstetrics and gynaecology including lactation consultancy, family planning and parenting education. In addition to the core services, department also caters to wide range of specialized services of Maternal Fetal Medicine, Gynecologic Oncology, Urogyneoclogy and Pediatrics & Adolescent gynaeoclogy. The department also offers formal post graduate training programs of residency and fellowship in Maternal Fetal Medicine, Urogynecology and Gynecologic Oncology.

Aga Khan University invites applications for the position of Associate in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology.

Responsibilities:

You will be responsible to:

• prepare, compile, and circulate monthly Morbidity & Mortality (M&M) meeting reports, maintaining related data logs, indicators, and presentation records.

• manage record keeping, response documentation and follow-ups of patient feedback, complaints, and incident reports. 

• prepare OPPE reports of the faculty member and assist in the faculty credentialing and PMDC assignments.

• assist Director ObGyn for AKUH off campus Program for the smooth running of the process at the four off campuses which includes faculty appraisal and the ongoing assignments.

• assist in the administration of in-service examinations, MNCH MBBS Year III teaching sessions, and training programs.

• support compliance with ISO, JCIA, and other quality improvement initiatives within the department 

• track attendance and maintain records for academic, training, and CME activities.

• support special projects, institutional events, and any other duties assigned by the supervisor or line manager which may include working after duty hours or on weekends.

• any other task assigned by the Departmental Chair & Senior / Assistant Manager.

Requirements:

You should have:

• a Bachelor's degree, preferably a Masters degree from a recognized institution

• at least three years’ of relevant work experience

• proficiency in use of standard office software and applications

• ability to handle stressful situations and multi-task, ensuring that stringent deadlines are timely met

• excellent interpersonal skills, particularly communication skills

• fluency in written and spoken English.
