You will play a key role in delivering effective, risk-based compliance assurance across the EMEA and APAC (EMAP) regions. This role is suited to someone who can combine strong hands-on assurance delivery with a broader responsibility to contribute to the continuous improvement across the function.

You will lead and support compliance assurance reviews across a broad and varied business environment, working with stakeholders to assess controls, identify and test compliance risks, report findings clearly, and help drive actions through to resolution.

This role has a wider remit than the delivery of assurance reviews. You will report to the Head of Compliance.

  • Define review scope, testing approach, and review programmes
  • Build and perform testing of compliance controls
  • Conduct fieldwork, reviews, and fact-finding meetings
  • Maintain clear, accurate, and high-quality working papers

Turn findings into action

  • Prepare reports that set out findings, risks, conclusions, and required actions
  • Work with business owners and management to agree practical action plans and mitigation steps
  • Track agreed actions through to closure and report on progress
  • Escalate high-risk issues

Shape the wider assurance approach

  • Support the Head of Compliance Assurance in developing the compliance risk monitoring and testing process
  • Contribute to the annual Compliance Assurance Plan
  • Support other EMAP Compliance colleagues in undertaking compliance testing
  • Help maintain and evolve the EMAP Compliance Assurance methodology, reporting templates, and GenAI tooling to improve productivity and effectiveness

Support governance and regional insight

  • Maintain accurate records in Archer and track open issues raised by the team
  • Help keep management informed through clear reporting on key indicators, deliverables, and review progress
  • Maintain a broad understanding of the business and regulatory environment in which Experian operates
  • Contribute insight on recurring risk themes and opportunities to improve assurance effectiveness across the region

Qualifications

What you'll bring:

  • 5+ years' experience in compliance monitoring, testing, assurance, audit, or a similar regulatory compliance role.
  • Experience working within a large, regulated environment
  • Experience with EU privacy and data protection regulations
