Respiratory Therapist (RCP) - Nights - Encinitas - 262004080 Description
This is a full time, benefited night shift RCP position at Scripps Encinitas. This is a night shift position from 1800-0630 that requires two weekends per pay period.

- Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates actions for respiratory care
- Performs all technical diagnostic and therapeutic procedures related to respiratory care and other core responsibilities necessary to maintain the flow of patient care and comfort in the unit
- Responds to critical situations within their scope of practice as permitted by licensure, certificate or training.
- Utilizes computer systems in performing position duties
- Adheres to Hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Participates in Quality Control, preventative maintenance, and performance improvement activities.

QualificationsRequired:
- Current California RCP license
- Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification
- Excellent interpersonal skills. Enjoys working with the public.
- Must be able to speak, read, and follow instructions in English.
- Technically competent in the department skills inventory.
- Computer literate.
Preferred:
- Prefer one or more years acute care experience.
- Graduate of one or two year AMA School of Respiratory Care preferred.
- Prefer critical and NICU experience
