The Site Civil Engineer is responsible for planning, organizing, implementing, and supervising all civil construction activities at the project site. The role ensures effective execution of the civil contractor’s scope of work in alignment with project objectives, technical specifications, and organizational standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and coordinate the civil site team while managing all on-site civil activities.• Supervise and monitor construction progress to ensure compliance with approved drawings, technical specifications, contractual requirements, project schedules, and safety standards.• Provide regular updates and reports to the General Site Manager and Sub Project Manager (Civil Engineering) on project progress and key developments.• Track project timelines proactively and implement corrective measures to mitigate delays and ensure timely completion.• Ensure contractors adhere to defined quality standards, technical requirements, timelines, and Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) guidelines.• Collaborate closely with the Engineering team (PM Civil Engineering) for technical coordination and resolution of site-related queries.• Establish and manage the Request for Information (RFI) and technical query process at site in coordination with the Project Manager (Civil).• Review and monitor Field Quality Plans (FQP) and ensure proper implementation at site.• Evaluate constructability of civil designs and provide feedback to engineering teams for optimization.• Review, monitor, and approve Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and as-built documentation submitted by contractors.• Support site management by reporting on key project parameters including HSE, quality, documentation, schedule, risks & opportunities, contracts, claims, workforce planning, forecasts, contractor performance, material deliveries, and critical events.• Ensure strict compliance with company HSE policies, statutory regulations, and applicable national and international safety standards.• Adhere to organizational compliance frameworks and business conduct guidelines at all times.
