ASSET PROTECTION SAFETY MANAGER (Business Intelligence & Systems)

Job Summary: Works under the general supervision of Corporate Asset Protection Safety AP S manager. Is responsible for managing Business Intelligence Programs and the protection of Navy Exchange assets through development and execution of all Omni-Channel Asset Protection and Safety programs including shrink control e-commerce fraud and management of AP S staff dedicated to Omni-Channel. Assists in the development of total loss and margin erosion programs focusing on causes related to fraud waste and abuse. Conducts extensive analysis of business results develops implements and maintains Code S Business Intelligence programs and supports the overall Corporate Investigations team. 

Duties and Responsibilities: -  Utilizes advanced data analysis tools and systems to identify, investigate, and resolve business challenges. Works proficiently with Exception-Based Reporting systems, Case Management systems, Microsoft Access, POS Reporting tools, SQL Developer, Discoverer, RMS, SIM, Lawson, and other enterprise systems. Supports development of Business Intelligence reporting and analysis for Code S and other NEXCOM stakeholders.

-  Directly manages systems and provides business support for assigned Asset Protection personnel. Supports and trains E-Commerce and AP team members in fraud prevention best practices and applicable technical skills to ensure an exceptional customer experience.

-  Produces analytical reports and provides recommendations to reduce fraud, waste, and abuse. Communicate key findings to the Corporate AP/S Manager and senior leaders. Collaborates with cross-functional departments as needed and conducts financial reviews across all NEXCOM Business lines.

-  Assists in the administration of the Asset Protection/Safety Review and Audit Programs in coordination with Code N. Develops reporting tools to track results, follow-up actions, and additional audit requirements. Designs and delivers training for Audit modules within the Case Management system.

-  Supports the Corporate AP/S Manager in maintaining the AP/S Manual and develops, updates, and publishes Standard Operating Procedures for assigned programs.

- Assists the Total Loss Committee and Corporate Inventory Management team.

-  Assists with the maintenance and revision of NEXCOM Instructions, Policies, and Procedures as required.

-  Builds strong partnerships and communicates effectively across all organizational levels, including Corporate, District, DC, and Store Operations, as well as with Asset Protection/Safety industry professionals.

-  Develops specialized reporting for Field and Corporate AP/S managers with an emphasis on fraud, waste, and abuse, including exception-based reporting. Creates and delivers training materials, awareness content, alerts, policies, and system guides as assigned.

- Assists the management process of expired and damaged product while minimizing potential fraud, waste and abuse at third party logistics (3PL) locations, NEXCOM DC's and Little Creek Returns Center.

- Assists background checks for all 3PL employees and contractors to ensure they meet NEXCOM standards. Coordinate with Code S subject matter expert to monitor process.

- Maintain relationship with 3PL Loss Prevention team to ensure communication of significant issues involving the facilities where NEXCOM merchandise is housed. Request video as needed for investigating and resolving claims of missing merchandise and coordinating response as needed.

-  Supports Code S investigative activities and exception-based reporting efforts as directed by the Corporate AP/S Manager.

-  Ensures team support of administrative collateral duties assigned to enhance productivity in partnership with the Corporate AP Total Loss Analyst.

-  Performs other related duties as assigned.

-  Must obtain and maintain a Secret Eligible DoD security clearance.

A total of 7 years' experience consisting of the following:

GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Three years of experience in administrative, operational. Technical or responsible work which enabled the applicant to gain general knowledge of operational practices; skills in dealing with others in person-to-person work relationships; and the ability to exercise mature judgement.

OR

SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE: One year of academic study above the high school level may be substituted for 9 months of experience, up to a maximum of a 4 year bachelor's degree for 3 years of general experience.

AND

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: 4 years of progressively responsible experience which provided an in-depth knowledge of retail and/or services operations management, Omni Channel/e-Commerce management, policies and procedures; creating business analytics, internal review and control techniques, reducing and controlling inventory shrink; of similar work which demonstrated the knowledge and ability to perform the duties of the position.
