Business Analyst

As a Business Analyst within the NetCalc Domain, you will play a key role in supporting the National Control Center, where grid modelling, risk analysis, and operational excellence are essential to keeping the lights on.

As a Business Analyst, you are the key link between business stakeholders and IT teams, ensuring that business needs are translated into effective and future-proof solutions. You analyse business processes, model information flows, and gather requirements to support critical operational activities within Belgium’s electricity network. Working in an Agile environment, you collaborate closely with Product Owners, developers, architects, and business experts to deliver high-value digital solutions.

Beyond analysis, you challenge existing ways of working, identify opportunities for improvement, and help shape smarter processes and systems. You combine strong analytical skills with stakeholder management, ensuring that requirements are clear, actionable, and aligned with both business objectives and long-term strategy. Your work directly contributes to the reliability, efficiency, and continuous evolution of one of Belgium’s most critical infrastructures.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse, model, and optimise end-to-end business processes using BPMN.
• Develop and maintain information models and business concepts using UML.
• Gather, prioritise, and validate functional and non-functional requirements.
• Facilitate workshops, refine user stories, and support backlog management.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, architects, and development teams to design business-driven solutions.
• Support testing activities, business acceptance testing, and quality assurance.
• Create and maintain clear, structured documentation.
• Take ownership of improvement initiatives and drive business value through effective stakeholder engagement.

• Master’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Business Analysis or a strong ambition to grow into a senior role.
• Strong knowledge of Business Process Modelling, Requirements Engineering, BPMN, and UML.
• Experience working in an Agile environment.
• Ability to translate complex business needs into clear and actionable requirements.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Knowledge of electrical network management, BABOK, or ArchiMate is a plus.
• Fluent in English and either Dutch or French.
