The Site EHS&S and Risk Management Manager is accountable for the safety, security, environmental compliance, and risk management of the site in Hsinchu, Taiwan. This role leads the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of EHS&S policies, procedures, and practices; conducts EHS and Process Safety risk assessments; ensures adherence to local regulations and global standards; and partners with site leadership to foster a strong EHS&S culture.

Your Role

  • Regulatory & Standards Compliance: Ensure site-wide compliance with applicable Taiwan EHS&S regulations, global EHS&S standards, andCorporate EHS policies, standards, and procedures.

  • Reporting & Data Integrity: Oversee accurate, timely, and high-quality reporting to local authorities and global systems, ensuring data integrity.

  • SOP & MOC Management: Collaborate with Production, Facility Engineering, QC, Warehouse, R&D, and other functions to develop and regularly update SOPs, with emphasis on Management of Change (MOC) in line with global Process Safety & EHS guidelines.

  • Risk Mitigation & Training: Lead regular risk assessments, develop mitigation and prevention plans, and coordinate cross-functional actions to maintain ongoing regulatory compliance and training.

  • Policy & SOP Maintenance: Develop and maintain local and site-specific EHS&S and Risk Management policies and SOPs to protect employees, customers, and other stakeholders from compliance violations and safety hazards.

  • Adherence Enforcement: Ensure adherence to policies and regulations across all levels of management, with support from site leadership.

  • Emergency Response: Lead the site emergency response program, including SOPs, system updates, employee training, and reporting aligned with local regulations and global requirements.

  • Audits & Oversight: Plan and conduct EHS and process safety audits covering site operations, waste treatment, suppliers, tollers, and 3PL warehouses, while supporting customers.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with local and global EHS counterparts to drive continuous improvements in EHS&S and Risk Management.

  • Financial & Project Support: Manage departmental OpEx and CapEx, and support local and global EHS&S projects.

  • Contractor Safety: Develop and maintain contractor management SOPs and standards.

  • External Audit SPOC: Act as the single point of contact (SPOC) for external audits; drive performance in EHS&S, Sustainability, and Process Safety.

  • Process Safety Governance: Serve as the accountable owner for process safety governance; coordinate HAZOPs and periodic revalidations, ensuring timely completion and closure of high-risk recommendations after technical review.

  • Continuous Improvement: Lead site risk assessment initiatives and process safety improvements, aligning controls with company standards.

  • Culture Building: Foster a compliant, proactive safety culture through training, communications, and leadership engagement tailored to site operations.

Who You Are 

  • Education: Bachelor’s or higher degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field.

  • Experience: 3 or more years of experience as an EHS Manager or Process Safety Manager in the chemicals, display, or semiconductor manufacturing industries.

  • Certifications: Possession of relevant EHS certificates, such as Class A Occupational Safety & Health Manager (甲業) / Class B Occupational Safety Specialist (乙勞), environmental certifications, or Toxic and Concerned Chemical Substances Emergency Response certificates.

  • Regulatory Knowledge: Strong knowledge of Taiwan environmental, health, and safety regulations.

  • Leadership Capabilities: Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage audits, incident investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Communication & Languages: Excellent communication, training, and stakeholder-management skills; fluent in English and Mandarin (TOEIC score of 700 or above preferred).
