Objectives of the Position
Responsible for the profitable and sustainable growth of BASF’s OASE gas treatment
business in selected subregion/countries of Asia Pacific.
Job Responsiblities:
- To develop customized solutions for greenfield/brownfield gas treatment projects through
a combination of licensing OASE technologies, offering technical services and marketing
chemicals supply. - To license OASE gas treatment process technologies in strategically relevant markets
such as natural gas/LNG, syngas, post-combustion flue gas, biogas, and refinery tail gas - To defend existing solvent refill business from licensed customers in Asia Pacific (<100
in AP) by serving their needs at the highest service level - To build and maintain long-term relationships with industry partners (project owners,
licensors, engineering contractors, vendors) to benefit BASF’s business on a global
scale - To contribute to and implement global and regional Gas Treatment strategies
- To collect, monitor, analyze and share competitive & market intelligence to gain
competitive advantage for BASF - To increase the level of technical expertise within the gas treatment team by
documenting and sharing design and engineering knowledge/experience - To represent BASF in positive manner in industry associations, conferences, trade
shows, customers events etc. through presenting technical and/or industry-relevant
topics and networking - To collaborate with other BASF business units (eg. catalysts and adsorbents) to present
BASF’s collective offerings to the customers in gas purification market - To ensure quality management and efficiency of sales, customers service and order
processing processes by conducting internal training and improving internal procedures - To take on special projects/initiatives as required
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemical Engineering - MBA or PhD is an advantage
- Have 8-10 years’ experience in relevant process engineering roles preferably in gas treating Internal applications (natural gas, syngas, refinery tail gas, flue gas, hydrogen etc. as mentioned above regarding customers’ applications)
- Experience in technical marketing and sales
- High degree of knowledge related to the design and/or operation of process units, preferably Acid Gas Removal and CO2 capture processes
