The Impact You'll Make
As an Application Engineer, Food Retail Refrigeration, you will help shape the future of supermarket refrigeration by partnering directly with customers to design and implement efficient, reliable, and sustainable solutions. Your expertise will influence how refrigeration systems are engineered and deployed across the market.
Working at the intersection of engineering, customer engagement, and innovation, you will support customers throughout the product lifecycle, from system design and implementation to troubleshooting and optimization. Your contributions will help customers maximize performance while advancing the adoption of new technologies.
You will also play a key role in strengthening customer relationships, identifying opportunities for improvement, and bringing valuable market insights back into the organization to support continuous innovation.
This is a remote position for someone located in the United States, ideally for someone located in the eastern or central time zone. What You’ll Be Doing
- Partner with customer engineering teams to integrate Danfoss refrigeration and control solutions into supermarket refrigeration system designs.
- Provide technical guidance, training, and educational resources that help customers successfully adopt new technologies and products.
- Support customer meetings alongside sales teams, delivering technical expertise that drives confidence and long-term partnerships.
- Troubleshoot refrigeration applications and support equipment startups to help customers maintain reliable system performance.
- Manage customer-reported product issues and enhancement requests, coordinating with internal teams to drive timely resolution and continuous improvement.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical) or Engineering Technology with preference in Mechanical, Refrigeration, or HVAC
- Knowledge in HVAC/R applications including supermarket parallel racks with preference on controls systems
- Ability to help advance market share against strong competition
- Ability to balance high demands inherent with multiple customers while managing projects and technical discussions
- Entrepreneurial as well as strong initiative and ability to lead/drive process improvements
- Willing and able to travel regionally and internationally (20-30% travel required)
- Periodic after-hours emergency phone support
- Experience with MS Office required
Salary Range Disclaimer: The base salary range represents the low and high end of the range for this position. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. The range for this position is $100,000 to $125,000.
