  1. Purpose of the job

Responsible for new customer onboarding, export maintenance and credit risk mitigation activities. This includes researching and analysing new and existing counterparties to determine appropriate levels of exposure. Credit support arrangements, monitoring and reporting of credit exposures and events. Up to date knowledge of regulations and legislation within an local and export environment.

  1. Key Responsibilities
  • New Customer onboarding end-to-end
  • Management of up-to-date documentation, with assistance from the admin consultant
  • Monitor that pre-set tolerances are entered on the system.
  • Account approval (before and on-going)
  • Credit limit reviews
  • Assessing group exposure
  • Commercial terms analysis
  • Political risk exposure (on each customer) Collection and application of information
  • Special terms (arrears, legal action, arrangements)
  • Ensure that credit application forms are correctly completed and copies of liquor license, Identification Document’s etc. are attached. In case on Salesforce
  • Approve all applications in Tradesheild within mandate.
  • Vet all customers from a Know Your Customer (KYC) perspective.
  • Exception management on orders - System prompts a manual order release and escalate arrear customers to Receivables for release and action.
  • Release or reject orders timeously to ensure deliveries not adversely affected where customers have exceeded their credit limit.
  • Monitoring, investigation, and reporting of limit breaches
  • Actively involved in the management of a credit portfolio and expected to identify and analyze portfolio changes, events, and analytics to upper management on a weekly/monthly basis.
  • Maintain sound working relationship with stakeholders.
  • Providing timely response to internal and external credit risk queries.
  • Highly Confident, articulate individual who is a team player.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and be able to respond to changes in priorities.
  • Ability to explain complex ideas in a cohesive, crystal-clear manner.
  • Highly motivated, self-sufficient, and enthusiastic individual with strong desire to grow within OTC.
  • Build, support and maintain healthy, diverse internal and external relationships to ensure achievement of organizational goals.
