Data Scientist – Financial Sector
We are looking for a Data Scientist to join a strategic analytics transformation initiative within the financial sector, focused on strengthening business decision-making through data, statistical modeling, machine learning, and artificial intelligence capabilities.
The role will be responsible for designing, developing, and validating analytical models for use cases related to pricing, liquidity, customer segmentation, customer behavior, and business optimization. This position will play a key role in translating business needs into data-driven solutions, explainable models, and scalable analytical assets.
Responsibilities
Design and develop statistical and machine learning models.
Perform exploratory data analysis, variable definition, and feature engineering.
Build segmentation, propensity, scoring, and predictive models.
Evaluate model performance, stability, and interpretability.
Define analytical methodologies and technical documentation.
Collaborate with business, data, and technology teams to implement analytical solutions.
Technical Requirements
Experience with analytical data architecture: conceptual/logical data models, data lakes, data marts, data lineage, data quality, and data traceability.
Strong knowledge of applied statistics, including regression, clustering, decision trees, and predictive modeling.
Experience with machine learning, data preparation, and feature selection.
Advanced SQL skills.
Proficiency in Python and/or R.
Desirable experience with data visualization tools, cloud environments, and model deployment methodologies.

Experience
Minimum 3 years of experience in Data Science, Analytics, or Predictive Modeling.
Minimum 3 years of experience in banking or the financial services sector.
Proven experience developing analytical models applied to real business challenges.
ADVANCED CONVERSATIONAL ENGLISH AND SPANISH ESSENTIAL (Will be evaluated).

Salary: $57,000 - 63,000 gross based on experience.
