- Plan, prioritize, assign, supervise, review and participate in the work of staff responsible for assigned department program.
- Establish schedules and methods for providing assigned program services; identify resource needs; review needs with appropriate management staff; allocate resources accordingly.
- Participate in the development of policies and procedures; monitor work activities to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures; make recommendations for changes and improvements to existing standards and procedures.
- Participate in the development and implementation of departmental contractual agreements to include site visits, vendor audits, and monitoring reviews.
- Recommend and assist in the implementation of goals and objectives; implement approved policies and procedures.
- Coordinate and oversee various assigned programs; enhance collaboration and coordinate among participants.
- Review existing and proposed ordinances and policies relative to assigned area of responsibility; prepare recommendations for supervisory staff.
- Participate in the selection and hiring of assigned program staff; provide or coordinate staff training; work with employees to correct deficiencies; implement discipline procedures.
- Participate in the preparation and administration of assigned program budget; submit budget recommendations; monitor expenditures.
- Prepare analytical and statistical reports on operations and activities of assigned programs.
- Research and develop partnerships with various communities related to community services and educational initiatives.
- Attend and participate in professional group meetings; stay abreast of new trends and innovations in the field of social service programs.
- Perform related duties and responsibilities as required.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in the social sciences or related field; and
Three (3) years of community services program experience; and
To include one (1) year supervisory or technical lead experience.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Possession of a valid New Mexico Driver's License, or the ability to obtain by date of hire.
Possession of a City Operator's Permit (COP) within 6 months from date of hire. Supplemental informationEnvironmental:

Physical:
Essential and supplemental functions may require maintaining physical condition necessary for sitting for prolonged periods of time; operating motorized vehicles.
