Help Shape the Future of One of WA’s Most Significant Water Resource Recovery Facilities
The Woodman Point Water Resource Recovery Facility (WRRF) is the largest Resource Recovery treatment facility in Western Australia, servicing industrial, commercial and residential customers across Perth’s southern metropolitan region.
As part of a major sludge treatment upgrade, the facility is entering a new era of operations with the introduction of advanced technologies, including a Thermal Hydrolysis Process (THP) and an enhanced Energy Recovery Facility.
These enhancements significantly increase the complexity and criticality of the site, introducing large-scale steam boiler operations and other advanced treatment and processing systems to the site.
We are seeking an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation Tradesperson with a strong safety mindset and attention to detail, to join our team on a full-time permanent basis at Woodman Point.
This is an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated tradesperson who takes ownership of their work, enjoys working independently, and is passionate about mentoring apprentices while contributing to a strong safety and team-focused culture.
The ideal candidate will have:
Proven E&I experience, preferably in remote operations
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, making safety-critical decisions
High focus on quality assurance to meet water safety standards
Resilience to work in challenging environments (e.g. vandalism, bushfires, power outages, Drinking Water Quality and supply pressures)
Our assets are in remote metro areas, requiring a proactive and safety-conscious approach to protect infrastructure and public health.
What you can expect with this role
Keep Systems Running Smoothly. Perform both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance while installing essential electrical and instrumentation components.
High Voltage Expertise. Carry out High Voltage switching when needed, ensuring operational efficiency.
Master Advanced Systems. Work on PLC, SCADA, Instrumentation, and communication systems with confidence.
Lead & Mentor. Supervise, support, and help develop team members to strengthen overall expertise. Participate in the planning & scheduling process to optimise resource utilisation.
Plan & execute small projects utilizing internal and external resources.
Problem-Solving at Its Best. Plan tasks effectively while tackling water operational challenges head-on.
Grow Your Skills. Stay ahead with all necessary training to enhance your knowledge and capabilities.
For this role, we are looking for great talent with:
- Certified Electrical Expertise. Hold an Electrical Dual Trade Certificate with a specialisation in Instrumentation.
- Cabling Accreditation. Maintain an ACMA restricted cabling registration where required.
- High Voltage Authority. Competent to perform HV switching when necessary.
