Our Dicky Birds Day Nursery in Durham Road is looking for a caring and enthusiastic Nursery Manager to join our team. You will play a key role in caring for, supporting and inspiring our children, encouraging curiosity and helping them thrive every day.

Location and Travel
Dicky Birds Day Nursery and Preschool is conveniently located near Raynes Park train station and local bus stops, making drop-offs and pick-ups easy for families. We also have multiple nurseries in the Raynes Park area, including our Outstanding Pepys Road nursery, as well as settings in Wimbledon and Surbiton, all offering the same high-quality care and early years education.
What will you be doing
• Promote high standards of quality within the nursery in respect of the environment, resources and experiences offered to children
• Ensure that all children attending the nursery receive rich and stimulating experiences appropriate to their age and stage of development
• Responsible for all administrative duties associated with the nursery, such as maintaining children’s records, ordering equipment, maintaining inventories, and keeping personnel records
• Facilitate inspections by regulatory bodies and implement any recommendations.
• Be responsible for ensuring the nursery remains compliant in respect of suitably trained staff with relevant first aid qualifications
• Agree and deliver occupancy targets
• Recruit, induct, support, train and appraise all staff to ensure delivery of high-quality childcare practice
• Support and supervise playroom staff with their day-to-day duties
• Deploy staff appropriately to ensure that the required standards are delivered and maintained within the rooms
• Ensure the effective implementation of the nursery keycarer procedures and allocate children to keycarers appropriately
• Ensure that practice and provision in the nursery meets the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
• Provide professional, relevant feedback to parents/carers about their child
• Promote the nursery to current parents and potential customers
• Develop open and positive working relationships with staff
• Ensure that all staff develop and maintain friendly, professional relationships with parents and carers
