This position reports to the Risk Engineering Submanager in Chile and is responsible for the inspection, analysis, and evaluation of risks to support insurance underwriting across Chubb’s business lines. The role ensures compliance with Chubb’s underwriting policies and guidelines established in the The Underwriting Guide (TUG). It also provides Risk Engineering support across the region.
The position requires the ability to build effective relationships with all levels of the organization as well as external stakeholders, demonstrating initiative, flexibility, and a proactive approach to new challenges. In addition, the role provides technical support and loss prevention guidance to insured clients.


Internal Relationships: All departments and organizational levels within Chubb.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Apply risk selection and risk management criteria for the Property portfolio in accordance with the Company’s underwriting standards established in The Underwriting Guide (TUG).
Conduct on-site risk inspections both domestically and internationally for new business opportunities and Risk Engineering services for Chubb accounts.
Identify risk exposures and determine appropriate risk control measures for each inspected account.
Perform Desktop Reviews and on-site inspections for prospective and existing Chubb clients across different business lines.
Maintain direct communication with brokers and clients.
Support the Regional Risk Engineering team, including the possibility of conducting inspections throughout Latin America, based on regional workload and multinational program requirements.
Develop inspection programs and client retention plans for key Property accounts in Chile from the perspective of Chubb Risk Engineering Services.
Prepare risk analysis and evaluation reports, identifying opportunities for risk improvement.
Provide Risk Engineering services and develop improvement plans to support insured clients in reducing risk.
Lead initiatives to improve the quality and timeliness of Risk Engineering reports.
 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
Intermediate English proficiency (spoken and written).
Strong customer service orientation and excellent communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively at all organizational levels.
Negotiation skills and the ability to provide technical guidance to internal and external clients.
Strong analytical skills, both quantitative and qualitative, to support decision-making.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
Ability to work independently while contributing effectively in a team environment.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in Risk Engineering or other relared roles within the industrial sector.
Knowledge of the local insurance market.
